What is your running "origin story?"

I began running whenever I was in high school and continued early in college. I have always gravitated more toward endurance style activities, over other forms of exercise. Just over the last year I have rediscoverd my love for running and have focused that passion toward ultra distance races. I love the slow and steady all day or "Party Pace" if you will!

Best/worst/funniest memory from a race?

One of maybe the funniest/worst memories was a number of years ago when I was competing in the Knoxville Olympic Triathlon. The swim leg has never been my strongest in a triathlon and I was the last one out of the water. My wife & mom came to watch me race and they didnt make it at the start of the race so they just kept watching for me to come out of the water and was certain I had drowned. Thankfully, I was just slow. I did make up some time as we went on but that was one of my last triathlons…

Why do you choose to represent Terra Running Company as an Ambassador?

Terra Running Company and their entire team have been favorites of mine since they came to Cleveland. As a local business owner, I see the value in supporting local small businesses! The store is so great for this community and they have brought many wonderful events and experiences to our small town. Not to mention their products are top notch and they have the most friendly staff!

What are your favorite 3 items in Terra? 

I love their selection of Garmin Fitness Trackers, their wide variety of shoe selection, and their local Terra Branded gear.

What advice would you give to someone who is thinking about running or becoming more active? 

Find a community of a few people who are also trying to get out there and link up. It makes a huge difference whenever you have some accountability.
