What is your running "origin story?"

I started running in March of 2022 after years of bad habits that led to a sedentary lifestyle and weight gain. I couldn't even run a mile when I started, but I fell in love with it again. Constantly pushing myself to discover what I can achieve, what I can endure, and what I can overcome. Now, I'm an Ultra Runner. The trails are my happy place, where I can exchange stress for peace. The people of this running community are extraordinary and I am so blessed to be part of it!

Best/worst/funniest memory from a race?

My best race memory is from Gone Loco 55k in 2024. Crossing the finish line of my very first Ultra is a feeling that I will never forget!

Why do you choose to represent Terra Running Company as an Ambassador?

Terra Running Company and the Terra Trot created a safe and welcoming place for me as a beginner runner. I don't know if I would have stuck with it if it wasn't for those amazing people. Now I want to pay it forward, and I love being involved with the community.

What are your favorite 3 items in Terra?

Altra shoes, Salty Britches, Tailwind drink mix

Favorite place to run/walk/hike in the area?

Any trail...dirt, trees, mountains...

What shoe(s) are you currently running/walking in?

Altra Olympus 6 for trails, Altra Torin 7 for road, Altra Fwd Via for everyday.

What advice would you give to someone who is thinking about running or becoming more active?

Just start small, and make it achievable. Create the good habit by doing something short everyday. 20 to 30 minutes of activity a day is a good place to start. Find some like-minded people (Terra Trot!). Making friends and enjoying your activities is so important! Don't forget to give yourself grace. Nobody is perfect, and something is always better than nothing. Working out, running or anything else should be a stress relief not added stress.
